It’s so powerful.
It sets your mind up to create the life you want.
When we were younger, we’d dream all the time — dreaming of riding a bike, the school bus, driving a car, being in high school, being a sports star, or a dancer.
Just dreaming, dreaming, dreaming.
It’s what made us sign-up for that dance class, try out for the football team, take driver’s aid, and leave our parents to go off to school.
We didn’t care that we’ve never done it before; we just went for it, not questioning if it’s possible or not, and then…we grew up.
We stopped dreaming, stopped thinking it was possible. We failed more than once and made it mean that it was impossible.
We stopped dreaming.
We got scared of trying new things and doing the unknown.
But what if you weren’t afraid to fail, what if you were willing to move forward through fear?
What could/would you accomplish then?
I’m so thankful for dreamers who believed in the impossible.
Thomas Edison for the gift of light.
⠀⠀
Wright Brothers for bringing us flight.
⠀⠀
James Clerk Maxwell for giving us color to our memories in life.
⠀⠀
Alexander Bell for stronger connections through communication.
Martin Luther King for opening our eyes to equal rights.
Steve Jobs for giving us consumer-friendly technology.
There are so many more. So many who believed in something that wasn’t already there. Who didn’t know-how and was willing to fail over and over again. They just kept moving forward dreaming and believing.
When is the last time you sat down to dream?
I invite you to do it today.
Write down your dreams, all of them, especially the impossible ones.
You are just as amazing as anyone else. You have the same capacity to dream and keep moving forward. You can accomplish anything if you keep on believing.
“A DREAM written down with a date becomes a GOAL. A goal broken down into steps becomes a PLAN. A plan backed by ACTION becomes REALITY.” -unknown
